Rachel Slack MA, LPC, NCC, Manager of Operations

Rachel Slack is a Licensed Professional Counselor (MA, LPC, NCC) and has been with Mansfield Counseling since 2018. She is a highly trained and board-certified counselor. Rachel completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University.

Rachel has a passion for creating a safe space for individuals to explore their struggles in all aspects of their lives that affect their mental health. She has extensive experience in counseling individuals of all ages with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, body image struggles, trauma, drug abuse, and other various mental health concerns. Rachel also enjoys assisting others with parent-child conflict resolution, relational communication skills, and marital issues. Rachel believes each person has innate worth, immense value, and unique skills and wants to help you believe that about yourself too. She loves helping each client take more control over their thought life by helping to identify and challenge negative self-talk and thoughts that regularly impact daily life.

Rachel can be described as compassionate, quick-witted, and intentional with those in her life. She will help you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in the door, and will help you feel at ease with her humor and ability to easily make others laugh.

For fun, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband and watching their favorite tv shows, leading their church life group each week, playing with their black lab named Sirius (Harry Potter nerd over here!), and having game nights with friends!
