Kendra Lewis, Field Experience Intern

Kendra is a graduate student currently attending Southern New Hampshire University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program (supervised by Jeffey S Gallup, MA LPC-S NCC CFMHE). She will be graduating in the fall of 2024.

Kendra is dedicated to meeting the needs of her clients by creating a safe space for clients to be their authentic selves and by also applying a client-centered approach in each counseling session. She believes that each client has the capability to cultivate inner strength and a positive mindset that empowers them to shift from being problem-focused to solution-focused when given the tools to do so. She also uses Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy to assist her clients in improving their mental health and overall well-being. She serves a client population of individuals who experience anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-esteem issues, trauma and alcohol and substance use.

In her free time, Kendra enjoys mentoring youth in her church and in her community, feeding the homeless and volunteering for community service events that serve the homeless and elderly population. For fun, she enjoys being a “volleyball mom” to her daughter, trying new foods, and watching true crime documentaries.

Kendra is a member of The American Counseling Association.
