Cassidy Seale MA LPC-Associate, Supervised by Jeffrey Gallup, MA LPC-S NCC CFMHE
Cassidy is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate under the supervision of Jeff Gallup, LPC-S, M.A., NCC, CFMHE. Cassidy graduated with her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from West Virginia University in May of 2024.
Cassidy has experience working with young adults and adults who are experiencing big life changes, anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, and other mental health concerns. She works with a blend of cognitive based counseling theories (Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, and Transactional Analysis), a person centered approach, and creative counseling techniques. Cassidy doesn’t believe in a one size fits all approach to counseling and is always looking to expand her horizons with technique and theory.
Cassidy also feels strongly that counselors must possess the ability to show up authentically with their clients and be able to create a space with the client where they can feel comfortable enough to go deeper and gain understanding of themselves mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Each lived experience is different. When clients feel understood and supported, they can begin to build skills that will help them change their thoughts and behaviors, or gain heightened self-understanding. This happens over time with no set schedule. It varies in appearance and in process. This journey is different for everyone, but Cassidy believes that a counselor’s role is to be that consistent ally, challenger, supporter, and human connection.
When Cassidy isn’t at Mansfield Counseling, she’s usually relaxing with her partner, her dog, and two cats. She is also an avid thrifter who enjoys catching the latest horror movie, cooking, and any media in the fantasy genre.
